Personal Information Security Policy

International Symposium on BA/BE of Oral Drug Products (BABE2011) Steering Committee (hereinafter called "the Committee") pledges to pay due attention to managing your personal information, which the Committee collects in the course of its operations, in such manners as described below.
Personal information is information provided by BABE2011 participants and cooperators that is related to existing persons and that can be used to identify specific persons based on personal name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, affiliation, etc. It includes information that can be used to identify specific persons indirectly when collated with other information.

The committee obeys The Act for Protection of Personal Information and related laws.
The committee pay detailed attention to and expend the utmost efforts on protecting and managing private information against illegal access, loss, destruction, defacing and leakage.
The committee will use the gathered personal information only within the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose(s) of use which has been specified in advance.
The committee has established the following policies regarding handling of personal information and will continuously endeavor to handle it appropriately.

To confirm registration and provide additional information for BABE2011, to send documents or materials relating to BABE2011, and to invoice charges for participation in BABE2011.
To conduct questionnaire surveys on BABE2011 and report the results.
To invite partiticipation in BABE2011.

The Committee will not disclose gathered personal information to any third party without permission, except under the following two conditions:

when required to do so towards financial institutions for complete settlement of payment.
when required to do so by legal provisions or judicial proceedings.

The committee deals with personal information under strict management, and does secure protection against its loss, leakage, and misuse.
The Committee may deposit your provided personal information with a third party for the purpose of data aggregation or processing. Subcontractors in such cases are limited to those whom the Committee deems to have a satisfactory privacy policy, and who are bound by an agreement on secrecy and other obligations in their handling of personal information.
